What is a Chromebook?

Chromebooks are lightweight laptop computers with a unique operating system that only contains the Google Chrome web browser. All the programs that you would use on a traditional computer are available as free web applications that are linked to the Google Account. All work done on a Chromebook will be saved automatically to the G Suite cloud, and will still be available even if the device needs to be erased.

At Danebank, each student is allocated their own Chromebook. These are only to be used inside the classroom or in the computer labs, and are not to be taken out of the classroom for any other reason. Students are not to take Chromebooks home with them.
